Both The Way Forward Foundation and Shake-A-Leg Miami have been hard at work making a difference in the lives of those living with paralysis. The partnership between these two organizations runs back 14 years, over that time TWF has gifted more than $143,000 directly supporting the Shake-A-Leg Miami mission.

-The Impossible Dream Tour: Sailing with Purpose and Community
As we continue to chart new waters on this year’s Impossible Dream Tour, our mission to connect and inspire communities has been nothing short of incredible. After setting sail from New York City last month, the Impossible Dream has welcomed hundreds of individuals aboard—each one experiencing the magic of sailing, often for the very first time.
- Captain Will and First Mate Mark have led the way, ensuring that every stop along the coast is an opportunity for inclusion and empowerment. Whether it's veterans, people with disabilities, or those from underserved communities, everyone who steps on board becomes part of the Impossible Dream’s legacy of hope.
- Recent Highlights:
- Dyckman Marina, NYC (9/6 - 9/15): We spent a memorable week in New York City, offering sails to individuals eager to experience the open water. The city’s vibrancy was matched only by the joy of participants who found freedom in the wind and waves.
- Brooklyn (9/17 - 10/1): In Brooklyn, we had the privilege of sailing with over a hundred people, each one leaving with a renewed sense of connection, courage, and a belief in what’s possible.
Next Destinations:
Baltimore: 10/4 - 10/10
Charleston: TBD
Jacksonville: TBD
Miami: TBD

Shake-A-Leg Miami Unveils New, User-Friendly Website
|
|
|
At Shake-A-Leg Miami, we are always evolving to better serve our community. One of the most significant changes we’ve made is the complete redesign of our website, ensuring it’s not only more user-friendly but also fully accessible to people of all abilities.
Our new website, which you can visit here, was developed with ease of use in mind. Whether you're a visitor, volunteer, or program participant, navigating the site is now smoother and more intuitive. The layout has been simplified, and the information is organized in a way that makes it easy to find the services, events, and opportunities that matter most to you. We’ve also improved how our programs, community involvement opportunities, and donation platforms are displayed, providing quick and easy access to these vital resources.
